China’s handling of anyone who racistly referred to Covid-19 as the “China Virus” has prompted the United Kingdom to follow suit, now imposing economic sanctions on any country who refers to the variant as the “UK Strain”. The UK Foreign Ministry has vehemently refuted the charge that the UK strain came from the UK with Boris Johnson saying, “anyone who says that the UK strain started in the UK is racist and anti-UK”, he went on to assert that the strain was likely to have been caused by separate outbreaks in multiple places in the world and would deny the WHO access to the country to investigate the outbreak.
