It has been revealed that Nick Cummins, aka the Honey Badger, aka The Bachelor has a team of writers working under slave-like conditions to formulate his now famous similes that have endeared him to Australia and the world.

It’s quotes like: “The boys were on it like seagulls at a tip”, and, “I’m sweatin’ like a gypsy with a mortgage”, that has made him the darling of the rugby world and have thrust him in to the global spotlight, now the star of the Bachelor franchise.

But at what cost?

The ever-popular Nick Cummins’ team of writers work around the clock in several Third World countries.

Writing slaves work for Cummins in constant fear.

The Surry Hills Times spoke to one of the young writers who was distraught at being forced to write for up to 18 hours a day in cramped conditions without a break. This has raised concerns as to just how far the Honey Badger will go to achieve a level of fame his professional counterparts could only dream of.

Twenty writers continually punch out similes at far less than minimum wage and have to endure the ferocious wrath of the honey badgers now infamous temper.

One writer with a fresh simile he hopes will please the tyrannical Badger.

“If Mr Badger doesn’t like what we write he gets very very mad.”

This calls into question the charming persona of a man that has been carefully constructed under a management team who are willing to exploit labour to achieve their ends.

“All I can think of is similes. Every waking moment is similes. I dream in similes. Please make the similes stop.”

Another said “Mr Badger Skype us everyday. He demand between at least ten new similes every day, each one more ridiculous than the last.”

Another writer so terrified of the Honey Badger’s wrath that his thought bubble has actually materialised.
