The Federal Government’s Transport Minister Andrew Constance has asked the Surry Hills community to name the exciting new ‘light’ rail monster carriages to be careering through Surry Hills every five minutes – the current online polling favourite is “Trainy McGoF**kingF**kYourself.”

NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance said, “It’s an exciting development for Surry Hills. We deeply respect the locals so it’s their call. These new trams are expected to transport half a million tourists and Sydneysiders to the suburb a week. It’s exciting time for Surry Hills so we want locals to embrace this change.”

The Surry Hills Times asked some residents about the exciting changes set for the suburb, and some names have been floated such as “The Nightmare” and “WOMMY (Wast of Money).

Tonnes of steel will be tearing up Devonshire street representing a loss of residence like the forced sale of Olive Grove apartments at dramatically less than market value, a loss of business, loss of parkland, the integrity of historic Devonshire Street, the loss of space in Ward Park where the St Vincent De Paul hosted a soup kitchen to the under-privileged in the adjacent housing commission flats.

The Ward Park Stop, placed where the St Vincent De Paul used to have a mobile food vans for the homeless every night.

“Increased foot traffic, exactly what the suburb needs, more tourists” said Constance.

Constance was forced to rename Sydney ferry “Ferry McFerryface”, following revelations his unpopular choice was a captain’s pick rather than a public favourite.

Online polls place the leading contender for Surry Hills locals’ preferred name is:

“Trainy McGoF**kingF**kYourself.”

Ferry McFerryface was an unpopular choice. Will Constance give “Trainy McGoF**kingF**kYourself” the nod?

The vote is continuing until the end of the year.
