The Clock Hotel is to be the first dedicated ‘NRL Nude Pub’ where fans can drink beer and cavort in privacy with their favourite NRL players, who of course are also nude.

This is an about-face for the code, whose leader Todd Greenberg recently asked rhetorically with exasperation, “What is it with NRL players and getting nude?”

Since this comment some have called for the bald head of Greenberg as the comment  shows he’s completely out of touch with the game and the fans.

The reality is NRL fans expect players to be nude at most times and are deeply disappointed when they’re not.

The indignation and outrage covered in the media recently at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs nude antics on Mad Monday is at odds with the feelings of most NRL fans.

Good.

“I want me players to be nude,” said Jake, a local carpenter, 24. “If they’re not nude I reckon there’s something wrong with ’em. Do they secretly want to play AFL or somethin’?”

Should be nude.

Manager of the Clock, Johnny, said “This is an exciting move for the Clock, the area and the NRL. We’re delighted to be working with the code and we look forward to what nude drinking can bring to the suburb.”

The Clock Hotel will dismantle its back Whisky Room to host a dedicated NRL Nude Room complete with padded walls and blacked out tarps for added privacy.

Players and fans can enjoy the space from the end of the season.
