Finally Surry Hills has what every suburb needs: a restaurant for gay dogs.

“The Gay Dog Owners Association of Australia is proud to be partnered with Bartolo,” said its President Maximilian Murch.

Mr Murch said, “Finally my dog gets to eat, drink and relax in a safe space surrounded by other gay dogs.”

Surry Hills is dotted with many dog friendly spaces including the Carrington and Clock Hotel but this is the first gay friendly dog restaurant in the world, where all meals are served in a platinum bowl.

“We had a float in this years Mardi Gras but unfortunately the dogs didn’t stick to the dance routine: two jumped off the float and chased a cat; three ate a pizza someone through in the gutter; a couple of the older dogs just had a nap, while the rest just sniffed each other’s bums.”

It begs the question: what’s the difference between gay dogs sniffing each other’s bums and heterosexual dogs sniffing each other’s bums?
