Recently the former deputy PM Barnaby Joyce and his partner Vikki Campion have come under attack for signing a tell-all TV deal.

The interview will be broadcast next Sunday night on Channel Seven with payment reportedly as much as $150,000.

But they defended the deal, saying they would not touch the money as it would be put into a Trust for their baby Sebastian.

It now seems that baby Sebastian has made legal moves to acquire the money immediately, and has already gone on an early spending spree.

His high-end purchases include a diamanté encrusted dummy, gold chains, and designer sunglasses.

And baby Sebastian’s expensive tastes don’t end there. He’s already ordered a one-of-a-kind designer bassinet from France and a luxury pram from car-makers Range Rover.

His spending spree is set to culminate in a no expense spared party at Ivy nightclub for him and selected members of his playgroup, featuring dancers, champagne and canapés.

Last week, Financial Services Minister Kelly O’Dwyer said Mr Joyce made a mistake by selling his story to the media and “most Australians are pretty disgusted by it”.

The behaviour of baby Sebastian may be the final blow to Joyce.

Joyce and Campion have publicly stated they would not touch the money. It now seems that has backfired.

More to come.
