The Surry Hills Times can announce plans for the suburb’s first ever Poo Jogging Tour.

A spate of poo jogging in recent months has taken Australia by storm – the latest in Ultimo.

Not to be outdone, community leaders and local professionals have banded together to promote the suburb by capitalising on the latest trend that is sweeping the globe – Poo Jogging.

Plans have been submitted to council and we await feedback from residents regarding the  specifics. Questions have revolved around number of participants, duration of tour, number of stops, direction of route, frequency of tours.

At this stage Poo Jogging Tours are to be conducted no more than twice a month, with no more than 10 people, over no more than 3 km or 2 hours in duration.

The Surry Hills Times understands that the contentious issue seems to be the fact that organisers are insisting toilet paper, or a means to clean up faeces is part of the tour.

The overwhelming community feeling is that this is contrary to the spirit and integrity of Poo Jogging.

Where it all began.

At this stage the planned route goes from Crown Street down Devonshire, right on Elizabeth Street before turning up Foveaux before concluding on Crown.

Residents are advised that they can request the Poo Jogging Tour to run along their place of residence or business on a needs basis.

If you’d like to submit a request to conduct your own Poo Jogging Tour, or if you’d like to lend your support as to why Poo Jogging is such a positive step forward for the community. please contact the Surry Hills Times.
