Steve Linane always wanted to be a train driver. That’s why he jumped at the chance to drive the Muffin Break kids’ carriage around what was then the Sydney Showgrounds.
Understandably be expected at some stage to be paid for his tireless efforts. Unfortunately actual paid employment never eventuated. But Mr Linane hasn’t given up hope of one-day been paid by Muffin Break.
“I just can’t seem to catch a Muffin Break,” said Steve. “But I have a 10 yearly review. Fingers crossed.”
