“Make it stop. Make it stop,” weeped Pat Jarvis at Entertainment Quarter this afternoon in Cinema Number 8. He was in the front row.
Pat Jarvis promised his mates this time last year he’d complete the City2Surf. He did not. As the race came and went Mr Jarvis nursed a hangover, finally rising from bed at 2:40pm on Sunday to get bacon and eggs.
Little did he know, his mates were salivating at the same time, for an entirely different reason.
“We weren’t sure what we’d make him do. The bet was open ended. We thought, ‘what’s the most horrific thing we could make him do?’ That’s when an ad for the stinker ‘Palm Beach’ came on the tele. Beautiful.” said Mr Jarvis’ mate Kayne.
Mr Jarvis was last seen at the Carrington Hotel drinking heavily.
He was still too distressed to comment.
