Graham O’Grady was always a pretty decent ping pong player. As an eight-year-old he was unbeatable in his nan’s garage on summer holidays in Forster. He never really took to tennis but after watching two weeks of Wimbledon culminating in the epic men’s final O’Grady feels confident he can take on anyone in tennis and come away the victor.
“Yeah look, I’ve studied the form of Federer, Nadal and the like, and I don’t really think there’s much to it. It’s like ping pong except you gotta move. No big deal really…”
O’Grady has issued a standing challenge to anyone to take him on at the Prince Alfred Park Community courts with at least 2 hours notice. Contact the Surry Hills Times if interested.
