The bronze bird statues that have become a feature in and around inner city Sydney buildings have begun defecating all over town.
The 67 little bronze bird statues perched at various locations across the CBD come at a cost of $912,000.
Mayor Clover Moore wants no stone unturned in order to determine who is responsible. A full investigation over a nine month period will cost taxpayers $1.2 million but it is deemed necessary to expose the culprit.
Some think the artist Tracey Emin herself has been installing the bronzed fecal matter.

Others suggest it is the work of pranksters.
And finally some believe that the birds have become fully sentient beings capable of thought and bodily functions.

Mayor Clover Moore is delighted at this prospect.
“If it is the birds themselves and I feel this may very well be a world-first, yet again another win for Sydney. It is certainly an exciting time to be a resident of the harbour city.” said an ecstatic Moore.
