A Surry Hills mother of two was surprised when a plumber turned up on time to her residence on Arthur Street this morning.

“It’s quite frankly rude,” said Bethany Leighs, 33.

The woman had just arrived home after dropping her 7-year-old at Kindi when the tradesman turned up at her doorstep. Right on time.

Ms Leighs had planned to put on some washing, then jump on Facebook to troll an ex when she heard a knock at the door.

“I’ve never seen anything like it. I just assumed he’d be three hours late like any normal tradesman.”

The unassuming plumber was beside himself about the mix up and has apologised for the confusion with a rambling: “I don’t know what happened. I got every green light. I’ve been suffering from insomnia lately. My wife and I have just given birth to a 6 month year old. I was up half the night. I just thought I’d get to the appointment early. It won’t happen again.”
