We’ve all experienced it, being ghosted on Tinder, Bumble, Happn or any of the other dating apps that have pervaded modern day dating. Now a brand new app has been launched, ‘Ghost’, and it cuts out the middle man.

The factory setting for the app is ‘Random’ so at any point the App will ghost a match, no matter how long you’ve been chatting, as per actual conversations on dating apps.

Gracie Funnel, the CEO of Ghost said, “Our research indicates no one wants to actually catch up. People just want to look busy at bus stops and while waiting for their coffee – they’re happy to chat online, but when it comes to actually catching up, no thank you!”

That’s where ‘Ghost’ comes into it. It takes the hassle out of Ghosting someone for you.

This woman was about to delete several matches but is delighted to discover the Ghost app has done the hard work for her.

“There’s always that ever so slight pang of guilt after ghosting someone, but now you can forget that because the app does it for you.”

And on the flipside those ghosted sometimes feel spurned, but with ‘Ghost’ they can rest comfortably in the knowledge the App deleted them randomly, not their potential suitor.

For an upgrade the app can be programmed to monitor the conversation and ghost based on a detection of bad banter. Additionally if either individual says anything that could be deemed offensive in the slightest way the app will immediately delete the conversation and unmatch the offending party.

There is also the ‘Spite’ setting, where based on tone of text and social media messages, the app can detect a user’s mood, so it will begin randomly Ghosting the opposite sex.

“Oh no, Jake just Ghosted me! Oh wait, no. It was probably ‘Ghost’ the app! Wonderful! I’m still infinitely wanted. Plus I don’t actually have to go on another horrific online date.”

‘Ghost’ launches in Surry Hills next month.
