After watching the indie 1999 classic ‘Being John Malkovich’ Harry Oscar Triguboff has been inspired to build the next generation of Meriton Apartments with even lower ceilings.
The film’s famous 3 foot high ceilings of the 7 ½ floor in LesterCorp’s Mertin-Flemmer Building in Manhattan have Triguboff in raptures.
“It just makes sense” said an excitable Triguboff, “The floors are half the rent”.
Triguboff sees as an attractive proposition for many renters.
The film portrays characters bent over as they scurry about the office.
When asked about the difficulty of the building not meeting the government’s minimum ceiling height standards he smiled:
“Oh I have to get around council!” smiles Triguboff, “However will I do that?”
