A Surry Hills man has deliberately broken his leg to avoid a ‘Harry and Meghan Royal Wedding Party’ hosted by his girlfriend overnight.
“I regret nothing,” said Peter Gentle, 35.
The local bricklayer will not be able to work for weeks, but in spite of that he was happy with his decision.
The party hosted by girlfriend of four years, Janice, was to involve 18 of her closest friends.
The evening was to be wedding themed.
When the Surry Hills Times contacted Janice she said, “Everyone was getting super frocked-up. I even had canapes and english style pub food.”
Shockinlgy she went on to say, “I was really looking forward to getting Peter’s perspective, as a man. It’s a shame he accidentally broke his leg falling down the stairs, poor thing”.
Clearly, she was unaware of her boyfriend’s deliberate actions at the time.
