Research confirms contemporary women are no longer attracted to the typical Alpha Male,  rather sensitive single fathers. With that “Babies For Hire” was born.

So what kind of men are women swooning over? Kind sensitive types. Men who help with domestic duties; the washing up, laundry, and men who simply pick up after themselves.

But the fascinating revelation was that women are attracted to single dads.

Women in Surry Hills are regularly fooled by scenes such as this.

Founders Tony Trudgett and Robert Stone, two ex-tradies had the idea while sipping on a few beers one afternoon.

“We saw this bloke walk down the street with a baby sling. I reckon every chick stopped to talk to him.”

We thought: “lucky fella”.

Then we thought: “Nah, he’s got to deal with crying and nappies and literally a whole bunch of crap. Then it hit us, what if you can just hire one for a couple of hours.”

The two never looked back after reading research from the dating site Zoosk that revealed 83 percent of single women are likely to date a single father. As to why? The research reached a few conclusions:

  1. Single dads are more discerning.
Rather than looking for just a pretty face, single dads want someone who can be a positive role model. In fact, 44 percentof men start evaluating their significant other’s parenting skills on or before the first date.
  2. Single dads want to take it slow.
Single dads won’t risk their kids getting emotionally attached to a partner unless the relationship has a future. 43 percentof dads said they would only introduce their kids to their significant other when they know it’s serious.
  3. Single dads are emotionally mature.
Putting their kids’ needs before their own is a telltale sign that single dads are emotionally mature. 44 percent of dads admit they’re likely to allow their children to dictate their relationship, meaning if their children don’t like their significant other, they won’t continue the relationship.

“I mean at the end of the day blokes aren’t emotionally mature, discerning or want to take it slow, so how’s a regular Aussie bloke meant to get laid?”

The two entrepreneurs flanked by a grateful client who met several women after hiring a baby in Surry Hills.
