It has been revealed that Channel 10’s panel show featuring comedian Dave Hughes was originally posed as a question by the channel’s executives – as they had run out of ideas for original, fresh, engaging TV shows – and that’s why they’ve already greenlit the next series titled ‘Hughesy, We Still Have a Problem’.

The ever-entrepreneurial Hughes seized the opportunity to pitch his own TV show based around the very same question.

The show’s comedic slant along with its much-loved celebrity host and a gang of quick-witted comedians has seen ‘Hughesy We Have a Problem’ experience some success with quite good ratings.

However, in relation to fresh TV ideas, many would argue we still have a problem.

And that’s why a meeting was arranged on the set of the show where the panel consisted exclusively of network executives who posed to David Hughes that they still have a problem in relation to the scarcity of original content on Australia’s free-to-air televisions.

Again, ever the entrepreneur, Dave Hughes seized the opportunity to pitch a brand new series titled “Hughesy, We Still Have a Problem”.

The show is a reinvigorated reboot under the banner of ‘Hughesy We Have a Problem’ to be airing early next year.
