Severe Weather: Man’s Downlight Drips. SES Call in for Backup.

Ferocious storms have lashed the NSW coastline with disastrous results, no more so than in Surry Hills where one man’s downlight dripped onto a new doona cover purchased only a month ago.

“I got it from Sheridan and it wasn’t even on sale,” the man wept.

State Emergency Services were called and upon seeing the domestic carnage immediately called in for backup and to arrange alternative emergency accommodation for the hysterical man.

“No one should have to live like this,” said SES volunteer Max Murch. “There’s a very real danger those drips could go through the doona and onto the electric blanket. It’s as serious as it gets.”
