Council Plans to Barricade Sydney Harbour Bridge on New Year’s Eve 2020

Exclusive: The Surry Hills Times can reveal Sydney City Council is pushing forward with plans to make New Years Eve 2019/20 the safest New Years Eve in the world by barricading the entire Sydney Harbour Bridge.

This comes on the eve of the most privatised, Occupational Health and Safety influenced NYE on record, where alcohol, glass and fun have effectively been banned throughout the entire city, and every vantage point has been barricaded including mass road shutdowns to ensure no one who isn’t paying top dollar can view the fireworks at all.

Plans that include banning humans from north of Rose Bay, including Hermit Bay, Milk Beach and Nielson Park, effectively all of the harbour around Vaucluse that include the most stunning views of the harbour.

Well done.

But now in a stunning move the council has determined that even the fireworks themselves are a danger to the community and one stray ember could result in third degree burns. as such they have seen fit to barricade off the iconic Sydney Harbour bridge in order to keep residents of Sydney safe.
